Staying in the Rhythm of abundance is essential in creating alignment and abundance. Our 5th Law that we will be talking about today is the Law of Rhythm. Before we get started let’s check in. How are you doing? Have you been able to put the first 4 laws into practice?
In case you have missed a few or want a refresher let’s review the first 4 Laws. The first Law we talked about is the Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy – energy is always flowing in and out of form. All there is, is change. In the blog, I talked about learning to adapt and flow with change. The second Law we talked about is the Law of Vibration – like vibrations attract one another. The Law of Attraction is a subset of this law. In this blog, I talked about your thoughts and how they impact your ability to create abundance. The third law is the Law of Relativity – all that exists, only exists through relationship or comparison to something. In this blog, I explored how shifting your perspective and using this law in order to support yourself in creating abundance. The last blog I covered, is the Law of Polarity – everything has an opposite. I talked about the gift in your challenges and experiences, and how the Law of Polarity can help you move forward and remain in the flow of abundance.
Now you and I are going to dive into the Law of Rhythm. The Law of Rhythm states that there is a flow to everything. This is one law you rarely hear about, but it is a very important Law in creating abundance in your life.
There is a rhythm to the oceans with high and low tide, a rhythm to seasons, a rhythm to our planetary cycles. There is a constant motion of ebbs and flow to everything.
Everything is either growing or dying. Think about it.
One of my favorite examples of this is watching a river. The river flows at different levels depending on the season and time of year. As you watch the river, you watch the water move around rocks and other obstacles in its path. Watch how rhythmically the water flows.
This applies to your life. Your ability to flow with your own rhythm will dramatically impact your ability to create abundance. You may find times when you are in the flow and aligned with what you want. You are creating what you want and then something happens. The rhythm changes. You have two choices here. My guess is like most of us, you go into “making it happen mode”.
Powering through, head down and blinders on. You are going to make this thing happen and no one is going to stop you. You may even be living in this mode a lot which has probably been creating a lot of frustration for you. Not to mention the burn out the happens when you continue to be in the make it happen mode over time.
The minute you start to power through and push something to happen, you have stepped out of the rhythm of creating abundance and stepped out of alignment. Instead of flowing down the river, flowing over and around obstacles and challenges you have turned your boat upstream and have started to paddle upstream. Many times, this happens because you did not notice the change in rhythm. You had a timeline and goal in mind, and you were going to get it done!
This is when things get hard. Contrary to what you may have taught, creating something amazing doesn’t have to be hard. Creating abundance in your life, in all areas of your life does not have to hard if you stay in the rhythm of flow.
Here are 5 steps to get you started playing in the Rhythm of Abundance:
- When things get hard pay attention – One thing I have learned, is when things start getting hard is to stop. Pay attention to why it is getting hard. Are you pushing to get something done when it would be better to shift, turn and go another direction? When things get hard, it usually means you have fallen out of alignment somewhere. The rhythm changed. You may be set on accomplishing one thing, but that one thing may not be in your best interest. This is also where trust comes in. It may just be time to turn your boat downstream and float a bit.
- Make use of the high and lows of the Rhythm – With rhythm there is a flow, there are highs, lows, slow times and fast times. Make use of these different rhythms. Celebrate in the high rhythms and learn in the low rhythms. When things speed up, don’t procrastinate. Ride the white water – although at times that can be scary it is also a lot of fun. When the rhythm slows down, rest and recover. Oprah asked Jay Z in an interview what he had learned from all his success. He thought for a moment and then said “I have never learned anything from my success. I’ve learned everything from my failures.
- Find and create your rhythm – I talk to people all the time that are trying to create abundance and balance it all. My answer to this is you can’t create abundance trying to create balance. Balance is impossible. It’s static. There is no flow to balance. Instead of creating balance, create rhythm to your life. Rhythm allows for change, it’s flexible and adaptable which is exactly what creating abundance requires. Your rhythm, your family’s rhythm is personal. They are unique to you, depending on what phase of life you are in. Play with creating a rhythm. Keep it flexible. My children are going back to school, so our rhythm really changes when my children are in school. During breaks, we flow into a new rhythm. Experiment with different rhythms until you find one that is right for you and your family. This helps you stay in a better flow and aligns you with the 5th Law of Rhythm in creating abundance.
- Ride the rhythm – This is the fun part! Don’t make this hard. There is no right or wrong. Only what is best for you, your family and the abundance you want to create in your life. Breath, listen and stop for a moment to really feel the rhythm. You cannot ride the rhythm racing ahead going from one thing to another.
- Play – Joyfully Play – This is the secret ingredient to creating what you want. Abundance requires JOY. Joyful Play feeds your soul. It brings joy into every aspect of your life. It’s the bridge over the gap from where you are, to what you want in your life. Joyful play can be a bit tricky. It’s personal to you and only you can figure out what it is for you. If you want support around finding what Joyful Play is to you, I have a free resource for you at https://laurirubinstein.com.
Abundance is for everyone! Abundance is yours if you are willing to learn, grow, and be an active participant in creating it.
Have fun flowing in the Law of Rhythm!
