In creating abundance, there comes a time where you must decide what you choose to create and what you are willing to do to create it. A decision to live in expansion of your comfort zone is critical. You either give into fear and stay in your comfort zone or you move through fear and step into faith. Trust.
This is a defining moment – A decision point to believe, trust yourself and the universe.
I was watching the documentary Free Solo, which was amazing. In the documentary, Alex Honnold made a stunning free solo ascent in Yosemite up El Capitan. He talked about the warrior spirit. I don’t remember exactly what he said, but this is what I remember: The Warriors’ spirit is to be fully committed and move through your fear because the goal requires it. I loved this when I heard it because it does take an absolute commitment and trust to move past your fear and negative thoughts.
“The Warriors’ spirit is to be fully committed and move through your fear because the goal requires it.” ~Alex Honnold
In creating abundance in your life, commitment is key. An understanding of what it requires. A dedication to educate yourself, pay attention and be aware, to do the inner work required.
In the last two blogs, I covered the 1st and 2nd laws you want to participate with – The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy and The Law of Vibration. Today, let’s dive into the 3rd Law, the Law of Relativity. Albert Einstein developed the theory of Relativity between 1907-1915. This Law states: All that exists only exists through relationships or comparison to something.
We know something by relating it to something else such as good and bad or hot and cold. An example is when you are really cold, and your hands are really cold, and you put them in cold water. The water feels hot even though it is cold water. It’s relative to the temperature of your hands. Everything just is, unless we compare it to something.
Look at fear. We are born with two fears, the fear of loud noises and the fear of falling. All of your other fears are perceived fears. It is how you relate to the circumstance. It is your perception of it. How many times have you really feared something, to only to then realize that it really wasn’t that bad at all?
When you step into faith and trust, it can bring up a lot of fear. You may be relating it to past experiences that didn’t work out very well. You may be relating it to perceived worst-case scenarios. As humans, we tend to go to worst-case scenario. But, that is only how we are relating to it.
When you consider this Law in creating abundance it comes into play the most when you get into fear, negative self-talk, etc. This is because you are relating it to something bad that can happen. When you go down this path, you start a train of thought that is more about what you don’t want to happen, which considering the law of vibration creates more of the same. Something has to change – law of transmutation of energy. See how they are all tied together?
So, what do you do about it? Here are a few tips I use to get myself back on track and back into the flow of creating abundance:
1. Change your perspective. Change how you relate to fear, uncertainty, and the unknown. I know this is easy to say and not always easy to do. It takes awareness. Awareness around what you are thinking and feeling. If you find yourself in fear, feeling unsettled or going to worst-case scenario stop. Look around and be aware. What are you thinking? What is showing up around you? This is the first step to catching how you are relating to things.
2. Be curious. You may be saying ok that’s easy to say but not so easy to do, and you would be right. Curiosity is a very powerful tool. Be curious. Ask yourself curious questions. Why am I feeling fear? Is it true? If it is, what can I do differently? What if it worked? What could I gain? Etc. If you are truly curious it helps you stay in a place of space that helps you trust and move forward, even when you are fearful. Stay curious about a positive outcome.
3. Be committed. Commit to creating abundance, period. It doesn’t work with one foot out and one foot in. Do the work – the inner work. The work that’s not always comfortable or easy, but when moved through is incredibly rewarding in so many ways. Experiment with it. Play with it. I love doing experiments. If you aren’t convinced, commit for a year and see what happens. It will change your life in ways you will never expect for the better.
Start with these three steps. Keep in mind the two prior laws because they all work together. Play with how you relate in your work, relationships, play, etc.
As always would love to hear your thoughts, questions or results. 🙂
