A Year of Ease, Grace and Flow

Mindset

This year I am focused on creating a Year of Ease, Grace and Flow. I am also focused on supporting my clients and all of you who come to this blog in creating a year of Ease, Grace and Flow as you move to accomplish your intentions/goals this year.

This doesn’t mean that there won’t be times of challenge or disappointment. It means that in times of challenge, disappointment, success, and celebration you will move through with ease and grace. Staying aligned with what you are creating this year, so that you find yourself in the place of flow.

I know you have felt this place before. Do you remember a time that you were really focused and clear about something you wanted to accomplish, and things just seemed to line up for you out of nowhere to support you in accomplishing your goal? This is the place of flow.

When you are in flow, you are moving through your life and business with a level of ease and grace. When you are in flow, you have a clear path free of resistance. The challenges and disappointments will be fewer.

If you find yourself bumping up against something, feeling a lot of resistance and being in self-doubt, you have moved out of flow.

Being in flow requires you to navigate the changes which may be unexpected with ease and grace. Trusting that all is in order and supporting you in your intentions.

If you are wanting to create something more or different than you have ever created before, then things will be changing. If you fight change you are fighting flow. There is an overriding Universal Law “Law of Transmutation of Energy”; this law states that 99.99…% of everything is energy. Energy is always transmuting in and out of form. Change is all there is. Everything is constantly moving and changing.

What happens is you and I tend to fight change. In reality, change is all there is so is there really any point in fighting it??? No, not really. Being in Ease, Grace and Flow means you are riding the waves of change beautifully.

Ease also doesn’t mean easy. Easy is with little or no effort. Ease relates to the way you move through the events of your life this year. Eliminating as many personal blocks you put in your way as possible. Grace is having the compassion for yourself and others to stay in a place of love. Which then brings you to flow.

There are a few important steps in moving into this place of Ease, Grace and Flow. Here a few to get you started:

  1. Get crystal clear around what you want and why you want it. This is your job. Your job is not to figure out the how. You may tend to think about what you want and then immediately go into how is … going to happen? This is when you know you have just stepped out of alignment, which takes you out of flow. When you are clear about what you want and why you want it the how will show up. KEY – Trust.
  2. Don’t bring old stories into your future. We all have our stories. Some are good and supportive, and some are not. One way you sabotage yourself and move out of a state of flow is to continuing bringing up and speaking your stories that don’t serve you. Stay present to what you are saying. Ask yourself, do I really want to bring this into my future? Thoughts and words are powerful. Use them wisely. Key – Pay attention to how you feel. If you don’t feel good, you will want to check in on your thoughts.
  3. Don’t own someone else’s stuff. Many times, you may feel responsible, obligated, or in the habit of fixing things for people, trying to make everyone happy (which is impossible) or rescuing people. It’s important and I will say not always easy as a somewhat former fixer to allow people to own their own stuff. When you try to make everything ok and don’t allow the people in your life to own their choices and what they are going through then you not only interfere with their journey, you interfere with your own journey. Key – When you find yourself in these situations ask yourself “Is this mine?”.
  4. Clarity of Vision. Once you are clear around what you want and why (the why is very important) start to share your vision. Write it down, create a vision board, talk about it with your inner circle. Ask for support around it. Spend time with this vision every day. Keep it in front of you. This will allow you to move through the challenges and fear that comes up with uncertainty with ease and grace. This also will engage the subconscious mind and the reticular activating system in the brain which pulls in and brings into focus that which you focus on.

You have experienced this. Have you decided you wanted a certain car and then started seeing it everywhere? Yep, that’s the reticular activating system at work. Two laws to consider here: The Law of Vibration in which the Law of Attraction is a subset of. Like vibrations attract like vibrations. Ever heard what you think about you bring about?? The second is the Law of Gender in which the law of gestation is a subset of. This states that there is a gestational period for everything. The kicker is we don’t know the gestational period of what we are creating in our life. The clearer you are and focused on what you want staying in flow will shorten the gestational period. The more distracted you are, focused on what isn’t happening and pulling forward old doubts and stories that don’t serve you will slow the gestational period down. Key – Energy Flows where Attention Goes! What do you want your energy going towards?

  5. Joyful Play! Being in Joyful play fills you up, brings you into feeling joy, you are present in what you are doing, and you are filling your cup up! You are taking care of you. This brings a lightness to everything – Ease. You then have the capacity to be more compassionate with yourself and others – Grace. You will be taking the time to nurture positive thoughts, you will be present and aligned with what you are creating – Flow. If you have no idea what Joyful Play would be for you then download my free Playbook and start your Journey to Joyful Play.
