Have You Created the Right Support For Success?

Success

With goals and intentions set, how will you support yourself throughout the year to allow yourself to stay focused and keep on track?

This is a really important question for you to consider. You may start the year out with a bang, focused, organized, and knowing exactly what you are going to do.

But statistics show, that many of us start to lose focus and commitment within a few months. Life begins to get in the way. You get busy taking care of your family, business, events, car pools, etc. Then the activities that are most important for you to do, start to get squeezed out of your calendar.

My wish for you this year, is for you to support yourself to success all year long. To break your goal down into four quarters, and create 90-day separate periods of time. Here are a couple of resources: Blog: Have a Plan and Make your Calendar Your Ally Free Gift .

Now that you have your goals set and are ready to go, let’s talk about how you are going to create support for yourself over the next year, to insure you reach your goals.

In the next three blogs, I am going to talk about nine different areas you want to set up for success. With each of these areas, you are going to want to create ways for you to automatically support yourself in your success.

“Believe in yourself and you will be Unstoppable!”

Have you ever undertaken a sport or played with people who are better at something than you are? After a while of hanging out, you probably found yourself automatically better at whatever it was you where doing.  The people around you, automatically increased your skill in a certain area, and you may not have even realized it.

Let me give you an example. When I first started skiing with my husband, I was an intermediate skier (fast, but not always in control). He was an excellent skier, and so was everyone he skied with. I started skiing with him and many of his friends. I was always trying to keep up. I was pushed way past my comfort zone, and honestly thought at times I was getting worse instead of better.

After doing this for a while, I had an opportunity to ski with a friend of mine that I used to ski with a lot.  We were pretty equivalent in our skiing. When we skied together, I was shocked at how much better I had gotten. I hadn’t even realized it until I skied with my friend.

You can set up areas in your life in a way that will automatically support you in your success.

There are nine areas, and I will take three at a time over the next three weeks. I want you to have time to really think about each area I talk about and implement some changes that will really support you.

Let’s get started with the first three.

There are going to be five questions you are going to want to take some time and answer.  Make a list for each answer.  It’s the same five questions for each area.

1. Your area of Finances: Yep, we are going to start with the big one. Here are some things I want you to look at and consider. Take some time, and make a list.

  • What are your feelings around your finances?
  • What assets do you have in this area? There could be investments to financial systems.
  • What are you tolerating with your finances?
  • What can you do to clean up the tolerations? (Tolerations zap mental energy and drain you.) Get a plan to zap each of the tolerations you listed. Some may take more time to zap then others. Having a plan in place will let you relax around it and release some of the energy it’s been taking from you.
  • Look at whether there is anything missing that you don’t have? This may be a good financial system, bookkeeping system for your business, retirement accounts started, etc. Get a plan together to implement, and start the things that you are missing.

2. Your Memetic areas: What are the ideas that are in your environment that are affecting you positively or negatively? This may be the books on your book shelf, TV shows, movies, radio, social media, etc.

  • How do you feel when you are watching TV, when you are on social media, around certain people, looking at the books on your bookshelf, etc.?
  • What are some of your assets in this area?
  • What are you tolerating in the Memetic area – the area of ideas?
  • What can you do to clean up the tolerations? Do you need to stop watching certain programs? Do you need to clean out your bookshelf? Get a plan together to zap each toleration listed.
  • What is missing from this area? Are there shows, books, people, social media that you can bring in that would support areas where you are going better? Get a plan together to implement these.

3. Your Relationship areas: These are relationships you have in your everyday life. This may be family, business relationships, and friends that you spend time with often.

  • How do you feel when you are with the different people in this area?
  • What are your assets in this area? This could be a friend who completely supports you, a business colleague you work great with, etc.
  • What are you tolerating in this area? Are there a relationship(s) that no longer serve you?
  • What can you do to clean up these tolerations?
  • What is missing in this area? This is an area I discovered when I was trying to do it all myself and needed some help. I hired two people to help me. How can you bring in what is missing? Get a plan together.

Once you answer these questions, you will have a really good idea of how you can support yourself in these areas. Get rid of tolerations that are zapping your energy, take stock of the assets in each area, and fill in what is missing.

This takes time, but I promise that if you take the time to look at these three areas over the next three weeks, it can make a dramatic difference in your business over the year.

I would love to hear about what you have done, tolerations you have zapped, and how you are supporting yourself to success. Please comment below.
